Driving Frequently Asked Questions
Learning to drive is an exciting new experience and it’s
only natural to have lots of questions.
I’ve listed 10 of the most commonly asked questions
below, but if you want to ask me something else, please call
now on 07783 398098.
How
much do your driving lessons cost?
You can find a full list of prices on the
driving lessons
page.
Will I have to share my lesson with
another pupil?
No, unlike some driving schools I never pick up
my next pupil at the end of your lesson. You get full 1 to 1
tuition for the time you’ve paid for.
Do I need to pass my theory test
before I start taking lessons?
No, in fact taking some lessons first can help
you better prepare for your theory and hazard perception
tests as you’ll have some on-road experience.
What tuition car do you have?
My car is 5 door Vauxhall Corsa – chosen
for its easy to use controls and manoeuvrability.
Are you a fully qualified driving
instructor?
Yes, I am a fully qualified Approved Driving
Instructor (ADI). I display the green hexagon badge in my
windscreen that proves I am qualified.
Why is the first lesson 2 hours
long?
Your first lesson needs to be 2 hours long so I
have enough time to show you all the controls and also let
you have your first shot of driving the car.
Can I have evening and weekend
lessons?
Yes of course, I work 6 days a week and my hours
are flexible so I can fit in with your work/school/college
commitments. There is no extra charge for evening or weekend
lessons.
What is your pass rate?
My pass rate is well above the national average
of just over 45%.
How long have you been an
instructor for?
I have been a fully qualified driving instructor
for over six years and have helped dozens of people just like you
pass their driving tests and enjoy the freedom of the open
road.
How many driving lessons will I
need before my test?
There isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ answer to this
question. Every pupil learns at their own pace and some
people may need 30 hours tuition while others will need 60
hours or more.
My approach is to make sure you learn at the right pace for
you and make sure you’re 100% ready for your test so you
don’t waste your time or money.
